  • Kernal is the heart of an Operating System.That directly controls the computer hardware.Usually kernal is the first user-installed software on a computer,booting directly after the BIOS.
  • It manages resources of Linux
  • Kernal decides who will use the resource for how long and when
  • It performes the following techniques  I/O management, Process management, device management and memory management.
